'The Fisherman Returns' is set in the aftermath of Leonid's explosion of despair and anger. It will embroil a small British family enjoying their summer holiday. It is the family of Harry Randall's daughter. Harry is no ordinary man engaged in trade negotiations - he is a British agent - codename: the Fisherman. He had left Oporto shortly after Batista's imprisonment by the PIDE. His head of department thought it wiser.

Harry's daughter, Laura, ignorant of her father's work, had been looking forward to the holiday with her wayward husband and her two children. However, a few days into sun, sea and laughter - nightmare overtakes them. Help is urgently needed. A desperate phone call to Harry sets things in motion.

Harry enlists the help of his former colleague and his wife, the da Gamas, They set about a deadly game of strike and counter-strike. But Leonid has resources and has played the opening move. For Harry it is catch-up time and he must use all his old cunning if he is to outsmart the brilliant ruthless Leonid Paustovsky.
